Aspull Health and Wellbeing Centre opened its doors in February 2023 following extensive stakeholder and community consultation, delivering an energy-efficient, sustainable facility designed to support both current and future healthcare needs.

What We Did

We led the design and delivery of a modern, multi-functional health and wellbeing centre, incorporating GP services, an on-site pharmacy, community healthcare, and flexible social spaces under one roof. Through extensive stakeholder engagement, including patients, clinicians, and local community groups, we ensured the building was shaped around real user needs. The design prioritised natural light, biophilic elements, and intuitive layouts to create a calm, inclusive, and future-focused healthcare environment.

The Outcome

The completed centre has become a thriving community hub, strengthening local pride and engagement through features such as the community orchard and landscaping elements. Community contributions, including furniture and ongoing stewardship of outdoor spaces, have helped embed a lasting sense of ownership and identity within the development. Alongside improved access to integrated healthcare services, the facility now stands as a focal point for wellbeing, social interaction, and community-led activity.
