What We Did
We led the full design, approval and delivery process in close collaboration with NHS South Yorkshire ICB, Sheffield Council and local stakeholders, bringing together architects QAD Architects, Ben Johnson Interiors and project managers Spring and Co to deliver the scheme. The new facility was designed around the needs of both patients and staff, incorporating a spacious reception and waiting area, fully equipped consultation, clinical and treatment rooms, and modern staff and office areas. A dedicated multi-use community room was also included to support a broad range of local health and wellbeing activities beyond standard GP services.
The Outcome
The new St Mary's Medical Centre opened to patients on 1st August 2025, delivering a modern, patient-centred environment that raises the standard of both care quality and staff wellbeing. The city centre location and flexible design ensure the facility can adapt as healthcare needs and service models continue to evolve. The project is a strong reflection of OneMedical Property's commitment to creating sustainable, community-focused healthcare spaces that serve their populations for the long term.
