Following detailed feedback from the planning officers at Blaby District Council (BDC), OneMedical Property, alongside our design teams have been working behind the scenes to refine and perfect our designs. Today, we are proud to showcase our revised plans to you, a result of immense hard work and dedication to ensure this development is the best it can possibly be for our community.
What’s Changed?
We have embraced 100% of the planning officer’s feedback, weaving their suggestions into a beautiful, enhanced vision for the site. The updated designs now feature:

‘Enderby Red’ Brickwork: We have swapped the original external finish for local ‘Enderby Red’ brick, ensuring the building seamlessly blends with the historic character of the area.

A New Pitched Roof: We have added a pitched roof element to break up the building’s profile and create a striking, classic-yet-modern look.

Optimised Positioning: The building has been repositioned on the plot to sit neatly alongside the boundary shared with the Go-Learn Centre, maximising open space and improving site access.

Dedicated Public Footpath: We have introduced a brand-new public footpath that is completely separated from vehicle access. This creates a much safer, pedestrian-friendly route for patients, families, and visitors walking to and from the practice.
Reassurance for Our Patients: Inside Remains the Same!
While the look and layout of the site have been updated, we want to reassure our patients and the public that no changes have been made to the inside of the medical centre.
The internal size of the building and the number of clinical rooms remain exactly as originally planned. Most importantly, the practice will still deliver the exact same wide range of healthcare services. These design updates are strictly limited to the external look and site safety features to meet the feedback received from BDC, meaning the high-quality care and capacity we are building for you remains completely untouched.
When Do We Get a Decision?
Our team has poured an incredible amount of energy into these revisions to put us in the strongest possible position to get planning permission granted.
With the new plans officially with the Blaby District Council, we are highly optimistic that we will receive a final planning decision from the planning officer by July.
